Does this happen to you?

When I sleep on my right side, I have normal dreams. Normally, I sleep on my right side.

But, sometimes, I sleep on my left side to change it up a little. Try something new. Vary the pattern, you know?

Without fail, every time I try to sleep on my left side, I have nightmares or the freakiest dreams possible.

It’s to the point now where just lying on my left side, feeling the blood sink into the left side of my brain, makes me think about different stuff than I’d normally think about before going to bed. More analytical stuff. More tactical stuff. Less sex and donuts, more plans and goals. But then, when I fall asleep, I have the nightmares.

Isn’t that freaky? Is it normal, though? Does this happen to anyone else? I’m Googling the issue (“sleep position affects dreams,” etc.), but can’t find anything on it.

Let me know what y’all think. It’s getting to the point where I’m scared that I’m causing the left side of my brain to atrophy by only sleeping on my right side. At the same time, I’m starting to wonder if I suffered some childhood trauma (like zombies killing and eating me) while sleeping on my left side one night.
