Oh, my God.
Toronto effing ruled – of course it did. And now, having accepted my punishment for having such a good time*, I have to sit here and check policies and read an email about our health insurance premiums being increased by $30 a month.
Also, special thanks to the NW Airlines peon who decreed that I had to check my pilot case, and thus ENSURED that my children’s KinderEggs would be smushed beyond repair.** Thanks, NW Airlines and Homeland Fucking Security. Brilliant job, you guys.
* The punishment was having to drive from the airport to my apartment through a gauntlet of the pick-up trucks of people who love fireworks so much that they’ll park on the shoulder of the freeway, and everywhere else in Houston, in order to see them.
** I don’t know – maybe that was punishment for me screaming “Happy Canada Day!” out the window at everyone…
