Friends
I’m lucky to have several friends who are really good to converse with. Talking to them cheers me up and refreshes my brain so I can stand to go back into the onslaught that is work and life. I wish I had more time to spend with these friends. But I guess life has to have balance. Meaning, the older you get, the less time you have for fun stuff. That’s the sliding scale, apparently. No more recess. Not as many blow-off electives you can cut with your boyfriend. You can’t spend every lunch hour with your friends – you have to spend half of them at the bank or the post office.
That’s just life, y’all. Now go make some money. (And try to make some time to talk with your friends – you need it to survive.)
Hot Ginger
Some woman wrote something about Fire Sprite with Hot Ginger Sensation on her Hong Kong based web site. Then, every time I go to bubble tea, they list Hot Ginger Tea among their 172 flavors.
Something about “Hot Ginger” sounds incredibly appealing. Is it like the little pickled ginger slices that come with your sushi? No. Hotter. Is it like Ginger from Gilligan’s Island, all dolled up and sauced up on a Cinemax nighttime feature? No. HOTTER. Is it like sparkling Chinese dragons, shooting multi-colored fire out of their smiling mouths while snaking through a midnight sky full of fireworks and children’s screams of glee? Yes. Yes, that’s it.
I don’t order the hot tea, though. I prefer Peppermint Honey Green Tea (iced) or Jasmine Green Tea (iced).
