Nosy Personal Question #3
Dixie kills multiple birds with one stone and asks:
Do you think flip flops are acceptable to wear out in public, like grocery shopping or to a class or out to eat?
What book(s) are you currently reading? Do you listen to music or watch TV or anything to go to sleep?
What do you think of 80s music?
Do you know where you’re going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you?
I think that flip flops are acceptable, in hot climes, at least. But they aren’t always nice, are they? I have some black beaded ones that I wear to the mall once in a while. As long as people’s flip-flops aren’t grody, I’ll cut them the slack.
I’m reading Cheng and Eng by Darrin Strauss or somebody. Uneven writing but compelling story. I haven’t been reading as much as I’d like to, lately. I’ll read the new Harry Potter next week in preparation for bedtime out-loud reading with my kids. (Okay, I’m lying. I just want to read it because I want to. But it will make my out-loud reading more smooth and dramatic if I read the whole book ahead of time.)
I usually talk on the phone before I go to sleep. But I’m trying to replace that with reading.
I really, really still like some ’80s music — especially the New Wave stuff. I love The Cars and The Police.
I think I know where I’m going to (but it’s taking a long time to get there, dammit) and I like most of what life’s showing me lately, and that’s my favorite Diana Ross song. Wasn’t it in a movie called Dummy or something? About a deaf-mute guy?
