I love this post, it flows so well. Thank you for sharing some of your heart and even some writing advice. I’ll have to check out some of your books now, “Growing Up with Tamales” seems appealing. Do you mention that annoying bit where the paste pours out the ends when you tie them and you ask mom why you have to make them this way and she says “you just do”. This will happen every year we’re on this Earth making tamales.
