In Case You’re Wondering

My best bubble tea drinks:

1. Peppermint Honey Green Tea

2. Jasmine Green Tea

3. Coffee Cream Tea with 3 Splendas instead of sugar

My kids’ best bubble tea drinks:

1. Green Apple Slush (Josh)

2. Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Mixed Fruit Gel (Rory)

3. Chocolate Cream Shake (Rory and Dallas)

4. Champagne Grape Slush (Dallas)

5. Vanilla Cappucino Slush (Josh)

My worst foods that I was forced to eat as a poor child:

1. Refried beans and a single hashbrown patty on a day-old hamburger bun

2. Fideo, AKA vermicelli from the yellow box with red words, soaking in pinto bean juice and pinto beans

3. Tripas, AKA fried pig guts, (AKA chitlins, I believe) on corn tortillas with refried beans

4. Spam

5. Sandwiches made of day-old bread and government cheese

6. Bologna, AKA boloney

Foods that I ate as a poor child that I don’t mind eating now:

1. Sardines

2. Armour potted meat

3. Migas, AKA eggs scrambled with torn-up bits of fried corn tortillas

4. Cabeza, AKA cow head, tacos

5. Picadillo, AKA hamburger meat cooked with tiny blocks of potato and spiced tomato sauce (AKA hash, I believe), preferably on flour tortillas, but also okay in a bowl

6. Refried beans

The most annoying reasons my kids cry:

1. They’re fighting over the Playstation.

2. They’re hitting each other.

3. They’re doing something worse than hitting each other, like spraying each other in the eyes with air freshener.

4. One of them wants to go to Taco Bell instead of to a nicer place.

5. They don’t want to put away their laundry.

6. They mistakenly believe they’re undergoing some sort of cruel hardship, even though they’ve never, ever been given refried beans and a single hashbrown patty on a day-old hamburger bun for their dinner.
