My About Picture
I changed the picture on my About page. Why? Because my boyfriend asked me to. He said the one I had before wasn’t flattering.
I like to use unflattering pictures of myself. That way, people won’t be disappointed when they see me in real life.
And, really, that stuff doesn’t matter. If people like my personality, they’ll be happy to see me, whether I’m pretty or not. If people dislike me, they’ll call me fat and ugly no matter how flattering the hair, make-up, lighting, and photographer are to me on that particular day.
However, my boyfriend went through all the trouble of picking his favorite picture of me and then cropping and color-balancing it just right. So I’m going to upload the new picture, just to make him happy.
Here’s a real picture of me, also taken at the Latino Book and Family Festival on Saturday. That’s my book I’m holding.
I don’t care if you like the Pokey Puppy’s books or not. Just don’t call him fat.
