I’m going to do last week’s Friday Five about superstition, but not this week’s about 30,000 mile check-ups or whatever the hell they have going on over there. But I won’t do last week’s today. Has anyone besides me seen the Brini Maxwell show on the Style network? Brini is a drag queen (I feel so rude pointing that out, but I have to because it’s neat for a drag queen to have her own show, isn’t it?) who gives home and social advice of a vintage nature. Today’s episode was about cocktail parties. I learned how to keep one’s home from smelling like cigarette smoke and that there is such a thing as elderberry cordial. However, I was disappointed that Brini liked lounge music and didn’t know the proper way to open a jewelry finding. Also, her earrings are often so very big.
I can’t see myself being friends with Brini in real life, like I envision with Oprah or Sharon Osbourne, whose programs I don’t even bother to watch. But I very much like the Brini Maxwell concept, so I catch the show when I can.
