mystery solved

Okay. I went back to Pineapple’s site and then followed this link and now I see what the big deal is. There are rumors going around Austin that Texas governer Perry has been having a homosexual affair with the Secretary of State. Sweet. Perry has publicly been one of the supporters of “the sanctity of marriage” (that is, hes been against gays’ rights to marry.)

Who knows if it’s true? The idea of it does invoke thoughts, though:

1. It never shocks me to hear that any politician is a hypocrite.

2. If I became rich, I might become Republican because that’s the rich person’s party. If I became religious, I wouldn’t bother to become Republican because Republican politicians are just as immoral as Democratic ones, and they just pretend to be more religious/moral to get votes from the dumber religious people. HELLO, DUMBER RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. THE REPUBLICANS ARE ONLY PRETENDING TO CARE ABOUT YOUR VALUES. Please, people. Quit letting them use you.

3. I think gays should be able to get married. You know what would be sad? If you were a gay man, and your boyfriend was a Republican governor, and you wanted your boyfriend to leave his wife and marry you, and your Republican governor boyfriend was all like, “Uh…. Hey, baby, just because I do you every night, that doesn’t mean I want to marry you or anything. I support the sanctity of marriage, m’kay?” HELLO, GAY MEN WHOSE REPUBLICAN POLITICIAN BOYFRIENDS SPEAK OUT AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE. DON’T YOU DESERVE BETTER BOYFRIENDS? Or, I don’t know. Maybe they buy you nice things and get you good jobs and that’s enough for you.

To each his own, I guess, as long as his own doesn’t include legislating against my own or the own of my friends.
