The Superbowl. THE SUPERBOWL!
My boyfriend told me I should write about the Superbowl. There’s not too much to say. There are celebrities all over town now, apparently, but I have my kids this weekend so I’m not about to go stalking.
I do like hearing about the venues the celebrities have chosen for their parties and appearances. It’s interesting to see how our clubs market themselves to visitors. P Diddy has chosen to host an event at Hush, a place Tad and I have sworn never to visit because it’s usually rap music and it’s so far outside the inner circle of town. Jamie Foxx and Vivica A. Fox will be at M Bar, a club that connects to bitchin’ techno but $20 cover in my mind. BT will play at the 610 Arena, right after Snoop Doggy Dog. If I were to do anywhere, it’d be to see BT. Tickets are $35 at the beginning, but only $20 after Snoop Dog has left.
There’s a Playboy party and a Maxim party and something called Leather and Lace. Woo. Can’t wait to miss it.
I’m just going to stay home. The kids say they want to watch the game on TV, so I’ll let them watch it while I do laundry. If I can, I’ll watch the $2 million dollar commercials. Also, if I can, I’ll pick up some buffalo wings tonight. They seem like the appropriate sort of thing.
Tad is going to brave the free-for-all in the downtown streets and take his camera with him. If he gets any interesting pictures, I’ll post them here.
