In related news: if there is anyone in Houston reading this who is not pro-war, could you please email me just to let me know I’m not alone? After listening to the morning propaganda on the radio, I wonder if maybe I am. Some stupid ass called in and reminded listeners that “we’ve known since the early ’90s that Saddam helps out Bin Laden” and the DJs let him ramble on and on without comment. Then a Marine called in and reminded protestors that “civilian losses happen. If they came here, it would happen to us. It’s a part of war.” DJs agreed that that’s the price we pay for “peace”, then segued into complaints that Michael Moore chose the wrong time to exercise his freedom of speech, in light of the American soldiers dying and all. Then the DJ invited Mr. Moore to kiss his “fat, hairy ass.”
What I’ve learned: Life is only sacred when it belongs to white Americans. Freedom of speech is only sacred when it echoes Bush’s lies.
